RRL Grindrod is a joint venture between Solethu Investments, a black owned company with extensive experience in rail logistics, and Grindrod Limited, a JSE listed shipping and logistics group with more than 100 years experience.
On the 1st January 2009, Grindrod Limited acquired a 50% shareholding in the business and the business was renamed RRL Grindrod. The business continues to be black owned through Solethu's empowerment credentials. This transaction has created a number of synergies and competitive advantages for the group.
