Andy joined Grindrod in September 2005 as a General Manager – Business Development. He is currently the head of Rail and Project Logistics for Grindrod Freight Services. Andy commenced his career as a civil engineer within the construction industry and subsequently worked in investment banking for seven years before being employed by Grindrod.

 

 

 

 

Dave Rennie (Master Mariner)

Non-Executive Director

Dave was appointed to the Grindrod Limited Board in 2002 after being employed by Grindrod in 1978. He has considerable seafaring and seafreight logistics experience and is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Grindrod Freight Services Division. He was previously Managing Director, and is now a Non-Executive Director of Ocean Africa Container Lines (Pty) Limited, a joint operation with Safmarine which services African coastal feeder and regional shipping needs. Dave is a Director of a number of Grindrod group subsidiaries and Chairman of the Container Line Operators Forum and co-chairman of the South African Container Terminals Advisory Board.

 

 

Marco Raffinetti

Non-Executive Director

CA(SA), Chartered Financial Analyst, M. Com (Tax)

Marco joined Grindrod in September 2005 as the Finance Manager for Grindrod’s land based logistics operations.  He is currently the General Manager of Finance for Grindrod Freight Services.  After completion of his articles, Marco spent five years working in the corporate finance field in first England and then South Africa before joining Grindrod.
